Eleanor “Nell” Haney

Nell Haney joined the Douglass Project in 2021 as a summer fellow and continued throughout her final year as an undergraduate at Georgetown University. After a post-grad year working closely with the Douglass Project on programming, expansion, and operations, she is now a first-year law student at the University of Michigan. Nell continues her work with the Douglass Project, assisting in general operations management, coordinating the fellowship program, and providing general support to FDP’s work across the country. After many years of GED tutoring, legal and advocacy work, and prison visits, Nell believes strongly in the Douglass project’s aim to highlight the humanity of incarcerated people.
