Michael G. Ryan

Michael G. Ryan has worked in the fields of finance and accounting since graduating from Georgetown University in 1974. He also attended the University of Pennsylvania and received his MBA from the Wharton School. From 1985-2018, Mr. Ryan worked in companies formed and acquired by Steven and Mitchell Rales. The largest portfolio company is Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR). Danaher is a science and technology leader with 60,000 associates and annual revenues in excess of $18 billion. Mr. Ryan has also been an officer and director of non-profit organizations formed by the Rales brothers. From 1977-1985, Mr. Ryan worked as a certified public accountant in the Washington, DC office of Arthur Andersen & Co. His clients included Radio Free Europe, Children’s Hospital National Medical Center, and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. For the past 20 years, Mr. Ryan has been teaching at Georgetown University. He has taught more than 2,000 students as an adjunct professor in both the McDonough School of Business and the College of Arts & Sciences. He has also taught courses in the DC Jail and in Georgetown’s PIVOT Program for returning citizens.
