Amanda Knox

Amanda Knox is an exoneree, journalist, and author of the #1 New York Times best-selling memoir, Waiting to Be Heard (HarperCollins, April 2013). Between 2007 and 2015, she spent nearly four years in an Italian prison and eight years on trial for a murder she didn’t commit, until she was definitively acquitted by the Italian Court of Cassation. Amanda hosted The Scarlet Letter Reports, a VICE/Facebook series about the public vilification of women, and currently hosts The Truth About True Crime, a podcast series in collaboration with Sundance/AMC that she produces and writes with her husband, Christopher Robinson. As a featured contributor to www.crimestory.com, Amanda is bringing to light criminal justice reform issues and the voices of the formerly incarcerated. A sought after public speaker, she has spoken across the United States to universities, corporations, and charitable foundations, advocating for empathy and nuance in our media, and compassion in our justice system.
