Run the TCS New York City Marathon with FDP!

This year, New York Road Runners (NYRR) announced that the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 1.

The Frederick Douglass Project for Justice will be among the more than 550 official charity partners providing thousands of runners the opportunity to run in the world’s biggest and boldest marathon.

The TCS New York City Marathon is one of the city’s most anticipated and iconic annual sporting events, attracting runners and spectators of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities from around the world. More than 55,000 runners will participate in this year’s race, and it is even more exciting because this year marks the 50th anniversary of the race!

While our official bib allocations (and official team of runners) is now complete, there are still two powerful ways you can support our mission to reform the criminal justice system:

  • Have your own bib? If you secured entry through the NYRR drawing, time qualifiers, or lifetime mileage, you can still run for a cause! Register with us as an independent fundraiser and get access to our community and resources.

  • Support the team: You don’t have to run 26.2 miles to make an impact. Back one of our incredible athletes by making a donation to our marathon campaign.
