Anthony Powers is a nationally recognized justice reform leader, mitigation expert, and founder of the American Equity and Justice Group (AEJG). He serves as President of the Legal Foundation of Washington and has advised lawmakers, courts, and community organizations on racial equity, trauma informed practice, and systemic reform. A recipient of a full and unconditional Governor’s Pardon, Anthony brings both lived experience and high level policy expertise to this work, including the development of statewide equity dashboards, sentencing reform initiatives, and youth intervention models. As a member of the Douglas Project Board he believes in the advancement and support of transformative justice.
